Marriage Preparation

In preparation for marriage, couples are asked to meet several times with the priest, deacon, and/or a trained married couple in preparation for this important sacrament. Please contact the Parish Office (440-256-1412) to schedule your wedding and to schedule your first preparation appointment.

Please note that arrangements must be made with the church at least 6 months before the wedding. Please contact the Parish Office before you set your date or reserve your hall.

In addition to individual sessions, couples must attend a Pre-Cana Day. These one-day retreats are an opportunity for couples to hear presentations on various relevant topics, such as communication skills, and discuss them together. The Pre-Cana Day at Divine Word is usually held in late February each year.
