Mission: The Holy Name Society provides assistance to Father Dave and the parish staff through their prayer, volunteer service and fund raising efforts and meet monthly to pray and learn more about their faith.
They also host coffee and donuts in Hanson Hall following the 8:30 AM Mass the first Sunday of each month.

Meetings / Time Commitment
Holy Name Mass the first Sunday of each Month (2nd Sunday if the first is a Holiday or Major Holy Day) where we encourage members to have a role in the Mass (Altar Server, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Usher). All members process in and out of Mass with the celebrant as an example of our faith and brotherhood.
Our Meetings are the First Monday after the First Sunday (unless Sunday is a Holiday or Major Holy Day). Our meetings begin at 7:00 pm with a Rosary for our deceased members. We then have a meeting with the members in which we discuss any projects or activities that are approaching and where we need assistance. We are always open to suggestions on meeting topics. The meetings are occasionally followed by a Faith based Presentation geared to the members.
Activities / Projects:
Prayer Walk: The Holy Name Society has taken on the responsibility of maintaining the prayer walk in the woods behind the parking lot. We have the Stations of the Cross, with a beautiful Arbor over the Statue of Mary. It’s a wonderful place to sit and pray in peace and quiet.
St. Patrick’s Day Dinner: For several years now we have hosted a dinner to benefit SVDP, the Mission Trip to El Salvador, etc. The last two years has been a St. Patrick’s Dinner. The society we support can change from year to year.
Bocce Tournament: We have a Bocce Tournament in July for members and guests for fellowship and to discuss with the guests about joining Holy Name.
Golf Tournament: Every year the Holy Name sponsors a Golf Outing at a local course. It is the only fundraiser the society does for themselves. The proceeds help fund our projects throughout the year. Click here for details.
Breakfast with St. Nick: Every December the Holy Name Society holds a Pancake Breakfast with St. Nick. This is a fun social even for the parish during Advent to sit and relax with your fellow parishioners, enjoy a wonderful breakfast (cooked and served by the Holy Name men). The children have the opportunity to visit St. Nick and receive a religious medal, a candy cane and a picture with him.
Annual Men’s Retreat: Every year in the spring, typically in April, we have a one day men’s retreat. This is a great way to grow in your spiritual life and learn more about our faith.
Annual Texas Hold’em Tournament: The January meeting is always replaced by our annual Texas Hold’em tournament. Come and enjoy a night with a great bunch of guys. You don’t need to have any experience to play. The rules are handed out before hand and it’s just another way to share good times with the men of the parish.
