Mission:
This group of dedicated women offer their support & prayers at various parish receptions as well as comfort meals following funerals. Our Lady’s Guild has great devotion to our Blessed Mother and one of the ways they show this is at our annual May Crowning. The Guild meets once a month (no meetings in January, February or March) for prayer & fellowship and they contribute in many ways to the life of the parish.
Who Can Join?
All women of the parish are welcome. Whether you are new to Divine Word or have been a parishioner for many years, we invite you to join us for prayer, fellowship, and service.
Our Lady’s Guild meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM, beginning with the Rosary. Members gather for prayer, fellowship, and discussion of upcoming projects, activities, and service opportunities. Meetings often include a presentation and are always open to suggestions for future topics. The 8:30 a.m. Mass on the third Sunday of each month is designated as an Our Lady’s Guild Mass, with Guild members serving as ushers, lectors, and Eucharistic Ministers.
How We Serve:
Through prayer, hospitality, funeral meal ministry, parish events, and Marian devotion, Our Lady’s Guild provides spiritual and practical support to parishioners throughout the year.
Faith & Devotion: May Crowning, Monthly Rosary, Prayer Breakfast (October), Pray for the repose of souls of the faithfully departed and consolation for their families.
Service: Funeral Comfort Meals, Parish Receptions, Mass Ministry
Fellowship: Clam Bake (October), Christmas Dinner, End-of-Year Celebration
Recognition: Madonna Award Presentation (June)
